The book, His Mercy Prevailed: My Story, My Mission, is an exceptional and timely one born of a rare but humbling deep personal spiritual experiences that lasted more than two decades of suffering, pain, sorrow, passion and agony. For day and night your hand was heavy upon me (Psalm 32:4), yet God’s mercy prevailed.
In sharing the privileged and humbling journey with the Crucified Jesus, the book offers hope to all in the verge of despair, that with trust in God, most assuredly there is light at the end of the tunnel. Keeping hope live is the antidote against despair. Yes, “weeping (sorrow) may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning” (Psalm 30:5).
It profoundly elucidates the fact that sometimes, our present sufferings and pains might be means God is using to purify us, prepare and equip his chosen for a future full of hope and above all for our salvation. Every condition no matter how bad it seems to appear has an expiration date and therefore, the book encourages us in all our distress, that God still holds us in his merciful hands. It very eloquently states that no matter how ugly the situations we face look, that is not all there is about them. The problems don’t tell the whole story. The uncompromising and inevitable truth remains that there will be a rainbow after the storm. Thus, “for I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future” (Jer. 29:11).
